The Guardian Tactical Recon-035 sets the industry standard for OTF Automatics a lot higher.  With its patented OTF mechanism, opening and closing this blade is significantly smoother and very strong.  Their new locking mechanism doesn’t touch the blade in motion thereby reducing friction and wear.  The thumb slide utilizes a steel plate and ceramic balls to eliminate typical OTF wear on the aluminum handle. 

The Recon Elite utilizes all of those features into a larger, more aggressive knife which is standard issue of U.S. Protective Service.

The Recon-Elite Double-Action Automatic has an overall length of 9.75” and a closed length of 5.625″”.  The 4.1″ partially serrated edge, Tanto-point  blade is made of all Black finished ELMAX stainless steel.  The dual, ventilated blood grooves on the blade allow for lightning fast deployment.  The OD Green Type lll Hardcoat Anodized Aluminum handle is has top and bottom jimping for a non-slip grip.    The black thumb slide rides on a stainless steel plate with ceramic balls to reduce friction.  It features all black hardware with a black, serial numbered, reversible for right, or left hand pocket clip for tip-down carry.  It also has a lanyard hole and hardened glass breaker tip.
