The Silver Stag Tool Series Short Bowie is beautiful traditional bowie made for tough duty and camp chores. The 1095 Carbon Steel is used for toughness, easy sharpening, and edge retention. All 1095 HC spring tool steel blades should be kept oiled.
The Short Bowie has an 8″ blade and is approximately 14″ overall. The clip-point bowie blade is jeweled finished 1095 HC spring tool steel with an HRC 58-62 hardness. This strong blade is 5/32″ thick. It features a long 6-3/4″ fine cutting edge and is almost 1-1/2″ from spine to edge. It has a beautiful, genuine crown stag handle with a steel finger guard. Due to stag being nature-made, each one will have a different stag pattern, pictures are representative. A high quality,handmade leather belt sheath with a leather thong and snap retainer is included.
